Master

In the master's Course, we cultivate four types of human resources, “Researchers”, “Business person”, “Administrators” and “Policy makers”

 

Researcher

To study, develop and revolutionize technology

We will train students who aspire to be science/technology communicators in transdisciplinary research and healthcare field, out of all researchers in universities, institutes and companies who already have specialized knowledge.
Moreover, they can become leaders who can search for evidence in the field of presymptomatic diseases, construct new studies and create new value for the next generation.

Path:

  1. Researchers in universities and graduate schools who are involved in high level research in order to solve healthcare issues
  2. Researchers in companies’ research institutes who are developing products/services/technology in order to solve healthcare issues
  3. Healthcare providers and researchers in medical institutions who are involved in patients’ and citizens’ clinical health research
  4. Doctoral course students in graduate schools who are studying a higher level of research methods

Business Person

To industrialize innovative technology

We will train students who can start up business in healthcare, especially in the presymptimatic disease field, in pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment related companies and other financial, IT, service, and food related companies. Students can become social entrepreneurs who can solve issues with new technology through business.

Path:

  1. Employees who work in healthcare related companies, involved in technology/service development and social implementation / global business development of products in the pharmeceutical department
  2. Employees who are involved in marketing planning for global business development with their technology /product
  3. Employees who are involved in business strategy planning based on social needs in the healthcare field at healthcare related companies
  4. Employees who are involved in product development for medical technology / service
  5. Entrepreneurs who are starting up new businesses for medical technology / services corresponding to social needs, based on their own ideas

Administrator

To innovate team management, and provide effective, efficient healthcare service

There is a suitable environment for students who aspire to become leaders inside the healthcare organization, such as head of the hospital and office.
To provide healthcare service from a presymptomatic disease/prevention point of view, and based on various local needs, we educate leaders who can manage and design healthcare origanizatons, cooperating with not just medical staff but also the government, researchers and companies.

Path:

  1. Employees who work in acute care hospitals and other medical institutions with high tech examination functions, which take in medical examinees from overseas proactively, who aspire to be involved in management
  2. Employees who work in medical institution with high tech/high quality medical services, which aims for global business development, who aspire to be involved in management
  3. Employees who work in nursing homes which aims to provide efficient, high quality care, or corporations that operate such nursing homes, who aspire to be involved in management

Policy Maker

To create an innovative social system that connects organizations and people, and solves healthcare issues

It is a place where policy makers involved in healthcare-related global organizations, domestic and overseas administrative agencies, and public institutions, can truly grow.
To create a healthy society, we educate leaders who can build networks between high-tech academia and companies, and optimize social systems, as an open innovation hub for industry, government and academia.

Path:

  1. Employees at local authorities who are in charge of healthcare policies, who are able to understand health issues systematically and connect various stakeholders including international human resources
  2. Employees at international organizations such as UN, WHO, JICA, etc. who are involved in healthcare issue solving
  3. Employees who work for government in the ASEAN countries or local authorities, who are in charge of healthcare policies

Ph.D.

This Doctoral Course cultivates four types of internationally highly specialized human resources, “Advanced research personnel”, “Advanced management leaders”, “Advanced healthcare providers” and “Advanced policy makers“

 

Advanced research personnel

To lead advanced research and development that leads to innovation of social systems

Human resources who take the initiative to conduct advanced research/development and provide leadership at educational and research institutions, corporate research facilities, etc., in relation to the innovation of technology and social systems that leads to problem-solving in the healthcare field

Advanced management leader

Industrialize and organize globally innovative technologies and services

Human resources who serve as leaders at global organizations to concretely industrialize and organize innovative technologies and services that lead to problemsolving in the healthcare field at corporations, NPOs, etc.

Advanced healthcare provider

Providing advanced health care services

Human resources who serve as leaders at organizations (hospitals, etc.) that provide healthcare services to effectively and efficiently provide advanced services that satisfy regional needs

Advanced policy maker

Build an ecosystem that contributes to solving problems in the healthcare field

Human resources who serve as leaders that connect a variety of organizations and other human resources working to solve issues in the healthcare field at international organizations, government institutions, etc., and that construct an ecosystem which contributes to the solution of healthcare issues

Career path after graduation

Students are expected to be able to use skills acquired at the Graduate School in variety of fields.

 

  • Worker in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial and IT industries
  • Official at public institutions ( e.g., public health administration officer at local governments and public institutions abroad)
  • Researcher(e.g., researcher at universities, research institutes and companies)
  • Employee or manager at healthcare institutions(e.g., hospitals, clinics)
